Cracovia Polish Dance Ensemble
from Brampton, Canada

Polish Dance Ensemble “Cracovia” was founded in December 2004 at
Saint Eugene de Mazenod Mission in Brampton from initiative of father
Adam Filas. The Artistic Director and Choreographer is Monika Falarz.
Most of the dancers in the group are teenagers or young adults of polish
descent and there are currently over 50 members in the ensemble.
“Cracovia” in its short existence, has had many performances in
Brampton, Toronto, and Canada. Most of the time, “Cracovia” performs
for important religious and national polish holidays in order to keep up the traditions and memories of our ancestors.

The group’s initiative is to promote and represent the Polish culture among
the Polish community and the multicultural community, to portray beautiful
and rich Polish traditions and sources of our faith and national identity.
“Cracovia” is extremely grateful for any words of encouragement and
recognition, which allow the group to grow and preserve the thousand year
old history of Polish Folklore.

Biedronka

Polish Theatre for Children Biedronka is dedicated to providing entertainment
for the youngest generation of the Polish descendants. All of the Biedronka's
performances are in Polish language, featuring such Polish authors as Brzechwa, Tuwim, Gellner or Siwek, as well as Gaweda's or Fasolki's songs -
all very popular in Poland, and Polish communities throughout North America.
In addition to shorter performances associated with Polish cultural events
taking place in the Greater Toronto Area, Biedronka has been entertaining our
youngsters with vibrant plays for over 7 years! To name a few: 'Jas i Malgosia',
'Akademia Pana Kleksa', 'Calineczka'. Once again, our repertoire is dedicated
to children; while Polish speaking children are actively participating in
Biedronka's productions.
