Polish Heritage Festival Ongoing Fund-Raising Projects $15,600 IS RAISED FOR A POLISH ORPHANGE AND SCHOOL!” Through the year long effort of the Polish Heritage Festival, the “Change for the Children” fundraiser collected over $15,600 to help with needed improvements and an addition to the orphanage and school in Jaroslaw, Poland. The Sisters in Service to Mary, who care for and educate the children who come from troubled families or who are orphans (some with minor disabilities), were most grateful for every dollar that they received. The officers of the Polish Heritage Festival wish to thank everyone who contributed in any way to this very worthwhile effort. The success of this fundraiser belongs to all those people who made a donation or volunteered! The Polish Heritage Festival Continues its Charitable Work Our charitable volunteer effort this year is a continuation of our fund drive to help the children in the orphanage and school. The fundraising committee decided to continue to help the children in Jaroslaw by giving them clothes for Christmas. This would be a gift, one that they will personally receive for themselves. No matter what their family situation is, these are children who come from poverty. We are fortunate to have made a contact with children’s wear in Poland, which will save us on shipping costs. Depending on the amount of donations we receive, it will determine if we can purchase one item of clothing, or a complete outfit with a winter coat for each child. Because the Polish Heritage Festival provides for the administrative expenses of promoting this fundraiser, 100% of the money we raise goes directly for this project.
